About Me

I'm new to this whole blog thing, but I figured I'd give it a try to help get my thoughts out. For starters, Im 19 years old and a mommy to the cutest little boy in the world. His name is Cohen Priebe McClamroch and he's 3 months old. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years, we live with our son in an apartment in Crawfordsville. My life is pretty crazy these days, I work, go to school, and take care of Cohen. I dont have time for much else. I've grown up alot in the last year, but realize its not so bad. I love my life and I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out. I love God, although Im not perfect, but who is. I lost my best friend, Clay Stuart Priebe on April 9, 2006. Not a day goes by that I dont think about him. It is by far the hardest thing that Ive ever had to deal with. It makes me appreciate life so much, and to live each days as its your last, because you really never know when its your time to go. My family is the most important thing in my life, they mean the world to me. My main goals right now are to get through school and be the best mother that I can to my son. That about sums me up.

My Mom

I often contemplate my childhood, Mom.
I am a mother now, and so I know
Hard work is mixed together with the fun;
You learned that when you raised me long ago.

I think of all the things you gave to me:
Sacrifice, devotion, love and tears,
Your heart, your mind, your energy and soul--
All these you spent on me throughout the years.

You loved me with a never-failing love
You gave me strength and sweet security,
And then you did the hardest thing of all:
You let me separate and set me free.

Every day, I try my best to be
A mother like the mom you were to me.

Everyone also talks about how they have the best mother and how much their mother has been there for them in their life. My mom is by far my hero. She has been through so much and still stands strong. She wakes up every morning at 6:30 for work and often doesnt get outta her work shoes until 10 at night. Shes constantly going, sometimes I really dont know how she does it. My mom had a really hard life growing up, most things are too hurtful to mention. She started going to modeling school and had me :) She also has my sister Johna and brother Tyler. Now that I am a mother myself, I look back at all the memories and things my mother did for me growing up and all I can do is cry. I dont think I deserve such a wonderful mother. She worked 3 jobs as a single parent to make sure we were taken care of. We were to stubborn to go to school in anything other than name brand clothes and mom would spend her last dime to get us the 30 shirt we wanted when we couldve went to walmart and got one for 8. I dont think that I have told my mom enough how much I appreciate all she has done for me. I now realize all the crap I put her through growing up. I just wish that I could go back and take away every tear she cried, every man that beat her, everytime her heart was broken, and everytime I said hateful things to her. I dont think she deserved any of it. I often wonder why God has made my mom's life the way it is, why she had to suffer? why she had to hurt? The only thing that I can come up with is that it has made her the person she is and I wouldnt have it any other way. My mom is honestly my bestfriend. When Im upset she buys me shoes, or does even the littlest thing like, send me 5 dollars in the mail with a card. Now that I am living with my mom again for the time being and have a son of my own, I realize how much you need your mother in your life and Im so glad that God has given me the greatest gift, my mother Lisa. I love you mom. Thanks for everything.

Love,
your nunu punu

What a great start to the new year

Well this year hasnt started out so great. Greg and I have decided to take a break so to speak. Every since Cohen, we have both been overwhelmed and have taken things out on each other rather than talking to each other about our problems. I am currently living with my mom and Greg is staying at our apartment. Its been a really difficult week for the both of us. I just ask everyone to pray for us. I just hope God answers my prayers and if we are suppose to be together we will and if not, he will give me strength to move on. We have been through alot in the four years we've been together, too much to just let things all go.

On the other hand, I just started school and my classes seem like they are going to be pretty hard. Im really going to have to keep up with things this semester and try my hardest not to get behind. Im takin English and Anatomy and Physiology.

Cohen is almost 4 months old. I cant believe how time flies. He coos all the time and we are currently working with him and tummy time which he hates. If anyone has any ideas for making tummy time easier, I could use the advise.

07 was a great year. On Valentine's Day, I found out I was pregnant. April was a hard month for me, the day before my birthday was Clay's 1 year being gone from us. I know that my birthday will never be the same again. In May, I finished my first year at Purdue, which I hated!!! I worked at Donnellys this summer up until the day before I had Cohen, its probably one of the best jobs I've ever had. I helped "coach" the boys softball at Elston this summer. On September, Greg and I moved into our own apartment and on September 21, we had our son Cohen Priebe McClamroch. The rest of the year has been a blast. Cohen is the best thing that has ever happend to me. He is getting so big so quick, I cant believe how time flies. Cohen's first Halloween, he was a pumpkin and was soo adorable. This year has been great. In 08, I will hopefully be starting school at St. Elizabeth and working on my goal of becomming a nurse. 2008, will be like every other year, except now I have a wonderful son to raise and share memories with!

Cohens 1st Christmas

This Christmas was amazing. Greg and I woke up to about 60 presents under our tree. My mom came in the middle of the night and played "santa"!.. She wanted us to have a great christmas because Greg and I couldnt afford to buy many gifts. It was by far one of the best christmas' ever. It was hard the night before because this was the first christmas not being at home with my mom or dad.. opening presents with my brothers and sisters. My mom always knows how to make things better. Christmas Even we started out at my omi and opas house and afterwards we went to my dads. I got the digital photo frame that I wanted!!! In the morning we went out to my moms to open more presents then to Gregs aunt's house in Indy. It was a busy day, but we made it through... and Cohen was great! By the end of the day we were all exhausted. This was definately a great year. Cant wait for 2008.

Christmas Time

So, Christmas is in 2 days and I couldn't be happier. This will be Cohen's first Christmas and I want it to be great for him. Greg and I decided not to exchange gifts with each other this year, money is to tight. All I really care about is Cohen having a good Christmas. As you get older, you realize that gifts aren't important at Christmas, I just want my family and friends to be healthy and for Cohen to have a great Christmas. This year, even though Cohen is too young to understand, we have decided to start a few traditions to carry on ever year...
1. Put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving and listen to Christmas music
2. Help a needy family or someone from a nursing home, and get them gifts for Christmas
3.Drive around town and look at the Christmas lights sometime before Christmas
4.Watch Charlie Brown's Christmas on Christmas Eve before bed
5.Bake a cake and read Luke 2 from the bible to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus' birth
6. Cook a big breakfast after opening presents and eat together as a family

Christmas time has always been my favorite time or year. I just love the snow and winter time most of all. It makes me sad knowing that I'm getting old. This will be my first Christmas that I don't wake up Christmas morning and open presents at my mothers house with my brother and sister. It will be truly weird. The fact that I'm getting older and starting my own family has really bothered me lately and my mom as well. I don't do well with changes, but Christmas will still be wonderful....
